The Brand Strategy & Studio Relations Associate is responsible for supporting the management of Publishing’s holistic brand and consumer strategy for select Disney brands, franchises, and strategic initiatives while also facilitating creative reviews and collaboration with Studio partners. In this role, you will work closely with various Studio franchise teams, serving as Publishing’s day-to-day contact supporting brand alignment and health across products, campaigns and special initiatives.

You will report to the Sr Brand Strategy & Studio Relations Mgr.

This is a full-time, onsite position based out of our Glendale office.

Responsibilities/You Will:

  • Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships across all assigned, internal content Studios to enhance partnerships and to expand product opportunities
  • Serve as a Publishing ambassador working to influence, communicate, and align brand and franchise tactics across assigned brands and franchises
  • Support the Studio Relations leads in meetings with Studio partners, during Studio mobilization rollouts, Studio presentations and screenings, and Studio pitch and brainstorm meetings tied to assigned properties
  • Provide support for important milestone meetings and the development of presentation decks, briefs, and recaps
  • Support development of cornerstone projects, including support during filmmaker review meetings, delivery of assets between studios and publishing across cross-functional teams, utilizing brand knowledge to provide feedback to licensees
  • Partner with other Disney content engines (i.e., filmmakers, Studio executives, film talent, etc.) to support weekly content development reviews and to ensure access and address challenges tied to creative resources and overall program alignment
  • Actively build franchise knowledge and expertise to facilitate efficient content/product reviews and approvals
  • Support the creation and implementation of overarching global brand plans including cross-departmental content strategy, consumer targets, creative development, marketing initiatives, retail activations, timelines, etc.
  • Support the development and optimization of Publishing’s content strategies across franchises, business models, channels, audiences, and formats

Basic Qualifications/You Have:

  • 3+ years in relevant partner management, entertainment, book publishing, creative product development, project management, strategy, or similar field
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills – diplomacy and interpersonal skills are a necessity
  • Team player with ability to quickly foster strong working relationships across multiple departments
  • Energetic, highly organized, efficient, proactive, and adaptable, always willing to jump in where needed
  • Comfortable prioritizing workload and managing multiple projects
  • Comfortable with creative brainstorming and problem-solving
  • Critical attention to detail, accuracy, and design
  • Working knowledge of Keynote and Excel

The hiring range for this position in California is $71,000.00 to $95,100.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
