The Hematologic Malignancies Program of the Abramson Cancer Center of the University of Pennsylvania seeks a Research Assistant to assist with two distinct clinical research projects. The Clinical and Translational Research Program for Lymphomas and Other Related Diseases (“Program”) seeks a Research Assistant to provide support to faculty and staff by performing a variety of research-related tasks. The Stem Cell and Xenograft Core seeks an individual to facilitate collection and annotation of samples of blood and bone marrow for the Hematologic Malignancies Tissue Bank. Responsibilities include increasing the efficiency and productivity of the physician by accurately documenting medical visits, assisting with patient note preparation, consenting and enrolling patients in research projects, preparing and submitting regulatory documents, coordinating data transfer and biological specimen handling, maintaining study files, attending program meetings and recording minutes, pre-screening patients for clinical trials, providing general administrative support, supporting the Stem Cell and Xenograft Core in sample collection and processing, participating in research projects, and other duties as assigned. Qualifications require a High School Grad/GE Degree and 3 to 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Position contingent upon funding.
