BMH-Tipton is a 100-bed community hospital and part of the renowned Baptist Memorial Health system. Serving the Tipton County area, the hospital features a dynamic ED with:

• Annual ED volume: 22,695 visits
• ED beds: 13
• Daily physician coverage: 24 hours (12-hour shifts)
• APC support: 10 hours daily
• Acuity level: medium with a variety of cases
• Charting system: EPIC EMR
• Admission rate: 7%
• Fast track and 24/7 ultrasound availability

Your Role as Facility Medical Director

• Provide both clinical and administrative leadership to the emergency medicine team
• Mentor and support physicians and APCs while fostering a collaborative work environment
• Collaborate with hospital administration and TeamHealth leadership to deliver exceptional care
• Shape and implement clinical strategies and workflows through active participation in meetings and initiatives

• This position combines the benefits of W2 employment for administrative responsibilities with the flexibility of 1099 status for clinical shifts, with benefits (health, dental, and vision) deducted from the facility medical director stipend, offering a balanced and tailored work experience

Qualifications

• Board certification: EM residency-trained or equivalent EM experience
• Leadership experience: minimum of 2 years in emergency medicine, with a proven ability to lead and inspire a team
