Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Guidewire Billing Center Technical Lead to join our team. As a Technical Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing and leading the technical implementation of the Guidewire Billing Center module. This role requires a deep understanding of Guidewire BillingCenter and its integration within the larger Guidewire suite of applications. You will work closely with business and technical teams to design, develop, and deploy billing solutions that enhance and support the organization’s operations in the insurance domain.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the technical design, development, and implementation of Guidewire BillingCenter solutions.
  • Provide hands-on technical leadership in configuring, customizing, and optimizing the BillingCenter application to meet business needs.
  • Oversee system integration of Guidewire BillingCenter with other Guidewire modules (e.g., PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter) and external applications.
  • Manage the technical team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions within project timelines.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders (e.g., business analysts, project managers, and other departments) to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Design and implement billing processes, including invoicing, collections, payment processing, and financial reporting.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues related to BillingCenter functionality and performance.
  • Perform code reviews to ensure coding standards, quality, and best practices are being followed.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members on technical best practices, tools, and technologies.
  • Ensure the system adheres to security, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
  • Stay updated on Guidewire product updates, enhancements, and best practices, and apply them as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience with Guidewire BillingCenter, including at least 2 years in a technical lead role.
  • Strong experience with Guidewire BillingCenter architecture, configuration, and customization.
  • Experience with Guidewire Integration tools (e.g., GOSU, Guidewire Cloud, Web Services) and integration patterns.
  • Strong understanding of insurance billing processes, including premium billing, claims, payments, collections, and accounting.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Gosu, and XML.
  • Strong experience in system integration with other enterprise applications.
  • Hands-on experience with Guidewire Cloud (if applicable) and other Guidewire modules (PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter) is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to lead a technical team and manage multiple priorities.
  • Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

  • Guidewire BillingCenter certification.
  • Experience with cloud-based implementations and hybrid architectures.
  • Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD tools.
