Job Description

The Personnel Commission announces an OPEN and PROMOTIONAL recruitment. This recruitment will result in the establishment of one integrated eligibility list. Promotional candidates will have seniority points added to final passing scores (.25 of a point for every year of classified service up to a maximum of 5 points). This list will be used to fill current and future vacancies and will be active for one year or until canceled. There is currently ONE position open at Pablo Tac School of Arts. This is a 7 hour/day, 10-month position. Any combination of education and experience including graduation from high school or equivalent and one year experience working the health related field or school office. Experience with school-age students is preferred.Requirements / Qualifications

Knowledge of First aid and age-appropriate CPR techniques and AED. Student health services related to injuries and illnesses. District policies, procedures, and practices related to health issues, medical terminology, and related health activities. Health and safety regulations. Modern office practices, procedures, and equipment. Record keeping techniques. Correct English usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and vocabulary. Oral and written communication skills. Interpersonal skills using tact, patience, and courtesy. Ability to Assess and provide first aid and emergency care. Assist students with specialized health care needs. Prepare and maintain a variety of medical related records, logs, and files. Perform routine job-related clerical duties such as filing, typing, and maintaining records. Operate computer and medical equipment as required. Meet schedules and timelines. Plan and organize work with little or no supervision. Work confidentially with discretion. Read, explain, and follow rules, regulations, policies, and procedures. Understand and work within the scope of authority. Communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Understand and follow oral and written instructions. Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.

Licenses/Special Requirements Valid certifications provided by American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or District approved provider for First Aid, Adult/Child CPR and AED. Recertification to maintain current/valid status is a condition of employment.
