Job Title: Freelance Interpreter Hanna Interpreting Services LLC is a language service provider connecting bilingual and multilingual individuals with interpreting and translation opportunities. Our mission is to bridge communication gaps through excellent and compassionate language services. We are seeking bilingual and multilingual individuals for freelance interpreter roles as 1099 Independent Contractors. Interpreters contribute to society by supporting language access for all, regardless of English proficiency. As an independent contractor, you set your availability and accept appointments based on your schedule. Availability: Appointments are available Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm, but are not guaranteed and depend on need. Compensation: Starting at $25 - $30 per hour, depending on language, experience, and demand. Requirements Fluency in English and the target language, with a strong understanding of idiomatic speech and cultural patterns. Previous interpreting experience, preferably in medical, legal, or educational settings. Professionalism, punctuality, and adaptability. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Basic communication device operation skills. Flexibility to work in various settings and environments. Must be located in and authorized to work in the US (no visa sponsorship). High School Diploma or equivalent; certification in interpreting or related fields preferred.
