Description:
HWH Transport is seeking an experienced Heavy Haul Truck Driver to join our Owensboro, KY team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting oversized and heavy loads safely and efficiently. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to navigate various road conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy haul trucks to transport oversized loads to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance.
- Follow planned routes while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding load status and any issues encountered.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times.
- Maintain logs of working hours or vehicle service and repair status, following state and federal regulations.
- Ensure proper loading and unloading of cargo, securing loads to prevent damage during transit.
- Adhere to OSHA, state, federal, and company safety policies at all times.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Valid Class A CDL with double/triples endorsements.
- Proven experience as a heavy haul truck driver or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of transportation regulations and safety standards.
- Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass drug test, background check, and fit for duty test.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
